The Chris Tomlin Holy Roar CD Giveaway

Yesterday we gathered with hundreds and hundreds of fellow worshipers in a warehouse-like sanctuary with lighting dimmed.  The band was strong and dynamic.  Our voices seemed tender yet powerful as we sang Chris Tomlin's hymn of praise, Good, Good Father.  Instruments and voices joined together, it was all so incredibly holy and awesome.

I'm guessing my eyes weren't the only ones brimming full.

This, the freedom, the experience, the wonder of worshiping an awesome God surrounded by His people.  A bit of a foretaste of heaven where we'll someday gather 'round the throne, casting any crowns we might have received to the side to focus completely on our Lord and Savior.

Chris Tomlin is back. You know you love his music.  You've worshiped God to it countless times.

How Great Is Our God

Jesus Messiah

Everlasting God

Indescribable

How Do I Keep From Singing

And so many more great hymns of the faith that, with great gratitude, we call our favorites.

And now here comes Chris's new album, Holy Roar.

    1. You're so right, Trudy. I've been learning that as we begin to grasp the depth of His love for us and rest in its bounty, our need for endless affirmation and strokes start to fade.

  5. Good, Good Father is one of my favorites. I even had a homemade wooden plaque given to me as a gift from our worship leaders. Sign me up and guarantee me to win! LOL BTW: give it away? I highly doubt it unless I give it to our worship leaders.

  10. Linda, how fun . . . giveaways! :) Chris Tomlin's music has a way of leading me into such a sweet place of worship. I've not yet seen him in concert, but I have seen a DVD of him with Louie Giglio talking about the universe and just how BIG God is. Amazing. Please enter me. :)

  12. Linda,
I love the song "Good, Good Father". When it is sung in unison with a large group you can just feel God's Holy presence there. Praise that He is so far above any earthly father. We can't even begin to fathom His goodness. That song - even thinking about it - brings tears to my eyes. He tells us to call Him Abba, Daddy. What an invitation to intimacy. Going to click on the video to start my day. Thanks so much for sharing!!
    Blessings friend,
    Bev xx

    1. You're so right, Bev ... this is a song that touches a deep part of our soul, the yearning for 'daddy love.' The sacred kind that no earthly father can fill.

Wow, how healthy our relationships would be if we weren't looking to others to give us what only Christ can ...
