In Memory of Elsie Lydia Blackie * 1930 - 2022

Sing the wondrous love of Jesus
Sing His mercy and His grace;
In the mansions bright and blessed
He’ll prepare for us a place.

When we all get to heaven,
What a day of rejoicing that will be!
When we all see Jesus,
We’ll sing and shout the victory!

Thank you for all your prayers and kind words.

Thank God for His tender mercies.

In His Love,
Linda

    Dear Linda, what a joy to know the welfare of Elsie is now in our Savior's hands and that she will see her dear John once again. My husband, Mike, said shortly before he passed that he couldn't wait to dance before the LORD! I think of Elsie that way too. Elsie sent me so many lovely cards and letters of encouragement. One of them quoted from Jeremiah 29:11-13 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Praying prayers of Thanksgiving and Praise for you and yours. Lovingly, Judie

  19. And we must let go their hands
    and play that sad and lonely part,
    as they turn to distant lands
    and leave us with a breaking heart
    which time can never fully mend
    (nor should that e'er be the case)
    until we reach the very end
    of this long and footsore race.
    And we will find them waiting there
    (to them, the wait is not so long);
    no dulled eyes nor greying hair,
    with supple limbs both smooth and strong,
    and as from that long run we rest,
    their joyful hugs will crush our chest.
