In Memory of Elsie Lydia Blackie * 1930 - 2022

Sing the wondrous love of Jesus
Sing His mercy and His grace;
In the mansions bright and blessed
He’ll prepare for us a place.

When we all get to heaven,
What a day of rejoicing that will be!
When we all see Jesus,
We’ll sing and shout the victory!

Thank you for all your prayers and kind words.

Thank God for His tender mercies.

In His Love,

  1. "Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world" (John 17:24). Rejoicing that she is with her Savior. Praying for those left behind as you miss her presence here.

  2. I'm rejoicing she is worshipping with the Savior. You and your family will be in my prayers as you prepare for the coming days.

  3. My deepest condolences to you and your family. What a life of love! What a life of hope and heart and faith! God welcomes her and is well pleased. Sending my love and prayers. Barbara

  4. Oh Linda. What a beautiful lady and a beautiful life. And now she's reached heaven's shore at last. My heart is with you, dear friend.

  5. Oh Linda. I'm so sorry for your loss. Relief for her and yet the ache of loss in your heart. I'm so happy she is released from all suffering. What a beautiful testimony she gave to your family and this world. Love and blessings of strength and peace for the difficult days ahead!

  6. Linda, she was a beautiful lady and has left a legacy of faithfulness and commitment to God, her family, and those whose lives she touched. I am so very sorry, but I rejoice that she is at home and you will be together again! You and your family are in my prayers.

  7. Linda, I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I'm glad she is with Jesus and her pain and suffering are over, but I'm sad for you and the rest of the family. Praying that you know God's comfort and peace and that you know him closely with you in this time of grief. Sending love and hugs across the miles!

  8. Judie Day, June 27th
Dear Linda, what a joy to know the welfare of Elsie is now in our Savior's hands and that she will see her dear John once again. My husband, Mike, said shortly before he passed that he couldn't wait to dance before the LORD! I think of Elsie that way too. Elsie sent me so many lovely cards and letters of encouragement. One of them quoted from Jeremiah 29:11-13 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Praying prayers of Thanksgiving and Praise for you and yours. Lovingly, Judie

  9. Dear Linda, I know your heart aches at the loss of your mother--a woman who nurtured, encouraged, and helped, who laughed and cried with you, who was an unfailing support and source of love. Praise God for the hope we have in Jesus! We WILL see our beloved parents again!

  10. I am so sorry for your loss, Linda. Extra prayers for you and your family!

  11. My heartfelt condolences for the loss of your beloved mother.

  12. I’m so very sorry about the loss of your dear mother. My heart and prayers go out to you. We forever miss our mothers.

  13. She sounds like a wonderful woman whose legacy in part is her daughter. I know it i a big loss and you have my deepest wishes for peace and healing.

  14. Oh, Linda. I know you'll miss your mom here. She sounds like she was a wonderful woman. You must have taken after her because you are a wonderful woman too.

  15. I'm so sorry for your loss, Linda. I lost my dad just a month ago.
Find comfort in the belief that we will meet our parents again.

    ((hugs and blessings))

  16. Praying for you and your family. Your mom sounds like she was a wonderful woman of God. How precious that you will one day see her again. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  17. Praying for you as you navigate this season of loss.
As for God, his ways are perfect.
"He plants his footsteps in the sea and rides upon the storm."

  18. I’m so sorry for your sadness, Linda. But I am so happy for the time you had with her and all the memories you carry with you!

  19. And we must let go their hands
and play that sad and lonely part,
as they turn to distant lands
and leave us with a breaking heart
which time can never fully mend
(nor should that e'er be the case)
until we reach the very end
of this long and footsore race.
And we will find them waiting there
    (to them, the wait is not so long);
no dulled eyes nor greying hair,
with supple limbs both smooth and strong,
and as from that long run we rest,
their joyful hugs will crush our chest.

  20. Oh, dear friend! I am in tears. SO, so sorry for your deep loss. Please know that I am sending hugs and praying for you right now. I will always remember your sweet Mom by the books she so sweetly and graciously passed along to me. Love you.

  21. May God surround you with His peace, mercy and grace, dearest Linda. Keeping you and yours in my prayers.

  22. Linda, I know this is bittersweet. Praying you feel God's presence and peace in the coming days. Cindy (

  23. I’m so sorry for your loss. Hugs. Regine
