16 Random Yellow Somethings

Isn't yellow the most serendipitous color?

She flaunts her golden self just a bit, inviting you to sit right up and take notice of her splashy arrival.  She pops into view like a ray of unexpected sunshine, leaving you wondering when and where she'll show up next.

Metal, flower, fruit, sky, paper, cloth, wood.  She grabs every venue and shakes them all up.

And she's not a bit afraid to invite other hues to the party ... the greens, pinks, blues, reds, and purples.  Because she knows deep in her pretty heart that she'll always outshine them all.

Remember The BLUES Scrapbook?

She shoves Ol' Blue to the side.  'Cause there's not a shred of doubt in her mind that she reigns as the belle of the ball.  And she's not the least bit hesitant to grab this month's 4 Somethings post and run with it.

As you slowly scroll down, you'll find 16 random images of something loved, something read, something treasured, and something aheadAnd what captures your creative attention will weave a completely different storyline than what's evolving in the mind of the reader next door.

THAT'S what serendipity is all about!

Serendipity is my word of the year.  What's your word / verse / number / goal / phrase?

And do any of these snapshots conjure up some sort of uniquely personal something loved, something read, something treasured, or something ahead narrative?

  1. I'm an "orange" gal myself. Apparently all thru 1st grade that was all I would wear. I can't help but smile..............

  2. I love all these serendipitous yellows, Linda! So beautiful. Yellow is one of my favorite colors. My fall yellow sunflowers usually don't bloom until late September or early October. But for some reason, this year I've had one stalk that has been blooming since mid-June. The strangest thing to see a yellow face among a sea of all green leaves! But I love it and take it as a little gift of grace from God. :) Glad you linked up with us!

    1. Sunflowers ... oh I wish. We tried and tried a year or two ago and every time a plant would start to take off, a rabbit / turkey / varmint snapped the stem with one sharp bite.

      I will live vicariously through you, Lisa!

  5. Orange is my favoured hue,
    but there's much to say of yellow;
    it's a better match with blue,
    and it makes me mellow
    when seen within a slow sunrise,
    or on warbler's bright breast;
    I find it soothing to my eyes
    when they need a rest,
    and it seems that Barb does, too,
    for the foyer is thus painted,
    but something else is breaking true,
    and I need become acquainted
    with other tints on which she's keen...
    and a living room of bright lime-green.

      What can I say? If Barbara wants lime-green, she certainly may have it. You are a wise husband.

  6. I love yellow too for its bright cheerfulness. Just bought some sweet corn at a farmers' market this morning. You could add a picture of that to your yellow line-up!

      P.S. I suddenly realized this afternoon that I hadn't seen a post of yours in awhile. Somehow Bloglovin' deleted your site, because I sure didn't! Just wanted you to know that I didn't know you were writing even though you've been such a welcome guest here.
