I've followed Jean Wise for ages, and absolutely love her blog and her books. Trying to catch up with lots of things since we just got back from the mountains yesterday afternoon. Whew! A whirlwind, but so much fun!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Linda!
Welcome back! It's amazing what a day or two out of town can do do for body and soul ...
Deletewow I read your blog to find some neat reading and didn't expect to find my own blog. Thanks for the mention and the encouragement!! So glad we have connected.
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited to share your wonderfully creative post, Jean! It made me smile and sparked some inspiration ...
DeleteI loved Jean's post on Whimsey too. Seth Godin always has great advice. Love the Ten words per page. I always love these posts, Linda! Thanks for sharing your good finds.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be fun to all sit around in person yakking away about all our gleanings!
DeleteLinda, thanks for sharing these links! I'm going to check out some of them later, but I just read the one from Kira Bridges, and oh, it helped my soul to breathe a little more easily. Such a great post! I plan to read more of these a little later on. Thanks for compiling so many great resources in one place, my friend!
ReplyDeleteYes please to giving each other and our own selves a bit of grace and space this summer.
DeleteI do believe I feel a post coming on right about now, Jeanne!
;-)
Thanks, Linda, for inspiration and recommendations!
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure!
DeleteThanks for sharing, Linda. I am currently reading "The Wisdom of Nature". After reading 3 fantastic books in a row, I think this one is just OK.
ReplyDeleteYeah, after a bunch of fabulous books, it's always disappointing to run into a bit of a clunker ...

Just read a book titled Lisette’s List by S. Vreeland. I discovered the art work of Marc Chagall, Cézanne, Pissarro and their French influence to the art world. Vreeland has an artistic “eye” and her writing to me drips with artistic flavors.
ReplyDeleteLinda, remember Potato Peel Society ... well Meet me at the Museum is another epistolary book that has a very interesting metaphor about raspberries.
Happy Reading!
Dripping with artistic flavors.
DeleteRaspberries.
It all sounds scrumptious, Buds ...

Thanks for some encouragement to use my summer leisure moments more profitably:) (I am a "best of intentions" reader)!! HA!
ReplyDeleteEven the phrase 'summer leisure moments' relaxes me ...

Hi, there! I was so happy to read about you on Martha's blog today! To know that you open your blog for prayer requests is so wonderful! I know I have seen you name somewhere before, but somehow I don't ever remember having come here to visit your lovely blog. May the Lord bless you for your giving heart. I will be following you now. :) So wonderful to meet you!
