O Lord, You have searched me
and You know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise;
You perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying down;
You are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue
You know it completely, O Lord.
- Psalm 139:1 - 4 -

Sooooo love this activity, Linda. Your posts always bring such encouragement with simplicity. This one does for certain.
ReplyDeleteRight about now, simpler works well.
DeleteI'm glad you're here with me this morning, friend!
Sitting is my favourite hobby. I practice it often. Sometimes in front of a TV, in a park, by the river, in the car ... even at work. I sit and watch other people working.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Yep, I'm with you, Victor. I love sitting.
DeleteGot to admit it.
But walking's a good thing, too, ya' know?!
All things in moderation.
;-}
sitting in His presence is something I struggle with. I'm wired as a go, go, go girl and it's hard for me to just sit and rest. I'm working on it. Thanks for the reminder :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, it can be a great big challenge to quiet our hearts ... so much grabs for our attention, doesn't it, Nicki.
DeleteI sure do hear you ...
Yes! That's the way I like to sit this time of year - entwined in a blanket or quilt!
ReplyDeleteAgain, you chose perfect illustrations.
I like knowing my God keeps track of me - sitting or going out!
I do love a good quilt wrapped tight and cozy ...

As I stand at my computer when reading/writing blogs and surfing the web, sitting is a most welcome break for me. Love that quilt, too! Blessings, Linda!
ReplyDeleteAfter a long day running here and there, sitting, curling up, is bliss indeed!
DeleteWords from that Psalm never fail to comfort my soul. Thank you for this blessing today.
ReplyDeleteYes, yes, Debby.
DeleteComfort and joy ...
When I wrap myself in a blanket, I think of you. Sitting at Jesus’ feet is my constant wish and goal...
ReplyDeleteI had my Martha seasons, yes. But I'm most in my element when I am sitting quietly together with Him ...
DeleteLove sitting in front of the fireplace wrapped in my favorite throw thinking on Him and Him alone. quiet time is hard to get in our house since we live with our son and family so when it comes...it's wonderful...
ReplyDeleteOh a fireplace that's used ... yes, please! We have one but it sits idle.
Delete* sigh *
Fun to have you here, Betty!
Sitting is actually painful for me right now, because of my hip injury. Maybe I can change that to "recline"! Love the Psalm you chose.
ReplyDeleteYep, reclining is good! Absolutely ...
Delete;-)
May you find new strength returning each morning, friend.
