Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you;
He rises to show you compassion.
For the Lord is a God of justice.
Blessed are all who wait for Him.

Let justice roll down like waters . . .
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Linda!
Mmm ... Amos 5:24 {I had to look it up!} 'But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.'
DeleteSince I hit the publish button, more verses are coming to mind. Thanks for putting the prophet Amos' words on the table, Martha.
Advent blessings to you this weekend!
Justice is God's to control--not ours!

Hey Lulu!
DeleteIn recent months, I've been thinking about how best to live out Micah 6:8, to do justice, and love mercy and kindness, and walk humbly with God.
This is a demanding personal calling that looks different for each one of us, trying to discern what I'm responsible for here and what He's responsible for as He rules in heaven.
Come, Lord Jesus, come ...
Wonderfully evocative photo and Scripture, Linda!
