Joy * Advent Whispers

JOY

As the Father has loved Me,
so have I loved you.
Now remain in My love.

If you obey My commands,
you will remain in My love,
just as I have obeyed My Father's commands
and remain in His love.

I have told you this so that My joy
may be in you and
that your joy may be complete.
~  John 15:9 - 11  ~

  1. Obeying the Father seems like such a simple task, doesn’t it? But when I read my joy is complete in Jesus, I know I want to do what it takes to have that joy,

    Bless8ngs on your Sunday,

    1. I hear you, Mary. There's joy in obedience ... and that's not always the way we view following His commands, is it.

    1. You're showing us all how to be overcomers, victors, fighters, Andrew. Each day you're impacting people right and left ... despite the pain.

May you and Barb sense God's comfort in the midst of the battle, friend, even as you read this reply.

    1. Amen, Lulu. Happiness is oh so fleeting.

Joy, that fruit of the Spirit, remains as He continues to define who we are.

What a wonderful God we serve!

    1. I like the kids to 'have at' the tree! None of them is around this year so it's filled with my grandma's fragile ornaments instead.

      Either way? Beautiful ...

  8. This photo absolutely captures my heart, Linda. I love hearts. :) And I especially love how your granddaughter is taking it in. The verse, too, is so comforting. Thank you for all these Advent whispers! Love and hugs to you!
