Sing * Advent Open House

SING

Sing joyfully to the Lord,
you righteous;
Sing to him a new song;
play skillfully and
shout for joy.

For the word of the Lord
is right and true;
he is faithful in all he does.
- Psalm 33: 1, 3, 4 -

  1. Oh Linda. My heart has been so downhearted for two family members and their families as they both found out this week their cancer has returned. :( My husband's brother and a sister-in-law (wife of another of his brothers. He also has another brother for whom they can't do anything anymore for his cancer. And I wonder how can I be happy when there is so much pain in their lives and in so many people's lives and in this world? But tears pooled in my eyes as I listened to this song and God confirmed it once again that my heart may still sing a song of hope, because Jesus has come. Yes, we have a Savior whose love will remain forever. He will be with us and others who are hurting. Thank you! Blessings of Jesus' unfailing love to you!

      Oh Trudy, I am so sorry ... this is such difficult news ... and even more so at the holidays.

      Heartbreaking, yes.

      I'm amazed that even in our grief, hope and joy can still exist even though happiness is nowhere to be found.

      I'm praying for you and yours, friend.

      God cares. He grieves with you ...

  2. Linda, I'm friends with Trudy via our respective blogs. Such sad, sad news she has shared here! I'll be sure to say extra prayers for her at this hard and difficult time. Thank you for reminding us to sing with joy, no matter what the crisis we may face.
    Blessings!
