Eat * Advent Open House

EAT

Therefore I tell you,
do not worry about your life, what you will eat;
or about your body, what you will wear.
Life is more than food,
and the body more than clothes
- Luke 12:22 & 23 -

  1. Cute pic!

    "Life is more than food," is such a true statement; yet for we homemakers who have to plan a menu, buy the food (after first earning money to buy the food), store the food, cook the food, serve the food, and then clean up after food ... well, it seems an inordinate amount of time must be devoted to it! I have to keep the mindset of serving my family during all these activities or it does seem that food is all that's on my mind!

    And yet, eating together is such a precious way to be in community if we do it in the right spirit.

    Praying all of us will "eat" during these holidays with a glad and thankful heart.

    1. Oh yes, I absolutely hear what you're saying, Jerralea! With a houseful+ of family descending in a week, that's the challenge I'm most daunted by ...

      I guess all we can do is plan ahead, shop with a good list, cook as much ahead as possible, assign everyone tasks, and then relax and go with the flow!!

      I think I need a nap ...

      ;-)

    1. No ... one of the many fun things I got rid of before the move.

      Bummer. Regrets ...

  3. Absolutely LOVE the photo of the baby feet, Linda! Not only have I always loved baby (or toddler feet, I'm not picky!), but it certainly reminds me of my new grandson, AS WELL AS my Savior! After all Jesus came walking into our hearts with sweet baby feet that He willingly offered up many years later to be pierced for our sakes. Grateful for these images and reminders, dear friend! Merry Christmas to you, Tim and the whole Stoll clan!

  4. Yes, Linda, eating is on the agenda for the holiday, that's for sure. Such quaint and cute gingerbread men, too!
