The satin in your mom's wedding dress only pales to the joy in her smile. Beautiful. And I love seeing your photos! Again, joy as it appears in our days. ♡ Debby
ReplyDeleteJoyful smiles. Amen. The real authentic kind that come from a full heart. Thanks, Debby.
DeleteOh, how beautiful your mother looked on her wedding day! Simply resplendent! Thanks, too, for the Paddington visit with the Queen. What a good sport she is. I so enjoyed watching the festivities at her Platinum Jubilee. It's such a wonder that she is still here with us.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend, Linda!
Yep, I just caught a glimpse here and there of the celebrations ... from all the regal splendor to the antics of Louie. 70 years is a terrific milestone!
DeleteWhat a stunning picture of you mom on her wedding day. I also loved Paddington and the Queen. Your photos warmed my heart, Linda!
ReplyDeletePaddington gulping from that teapot cracked me up! As a tea tablescape expert, I bet you loved it! Here's to more tea!
DeleteI do love that picture of your mom on her wedding day. How precious. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteCindy, have a wonderful weekend with your gang! Take pictures!
DeleteYour mom's dress is amazing! And I love the video of the Queen with Paddington too. It added some fun to the celebrations.
ReplyDeleteSo ... how did you all celebrate? I'd love to hear ...
DeleteI didn't do much to celebrate. We had an extra day's holiday so I spent some time with family and then watched some of the celebrations on TV. There were a few local street parties etc taking place but most of the celebrations were in London.
DeleteDon't you just love an extra day off work?!
DeleteI'm blessed by this fell battle,
ReplyDeleteI'm grateful for the war.
I'm not my blind fate's chattel;
oh, no, I'm so much more!
I stand astride my bleeding earth,
folks gasp when they draw breath
as in the fight I show my worth,
though it must end in death.
Nonetheless I wear a grin,
not skullish, but one warm and true,
for in my dying I will win,
and winning will go through
the gates of Heaven, bright and clear,
and then I'm gonna have a beer.
A warm and true grin. I prize each feeble one my Mom is still able to share. True treasure.
DeleteThat wedding dress is gorgeous. Love the photos
ReplyDeleteMe, too, Jean. Me, too.

ReplyDeleteWell, thanks! Enjoy this gorgeous weekend ...
DeleteI hadn't watched the video - I'm so glad you shared it! I so very much enjoyed it! Your mom looks so beautiful - I thought it was a photo of the queen in her wedding dress first!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous bride!
ReplyDeleteYes, for sure ... and it's so good to see you again if you are who I think you are!
DeleteYour mom looked beautiful on her wedding day.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed that video of the Queen with Paddington.
Happy Sunday, Linda.

Lulu, thanks!
DeleteBeautiful Mom AND dress! Especially loved that hammock photo. Aren't grandkids the best?! SUCH fun! Oh--and that photo of the flag. Love how you captured that graceful wave. And so appropriate for Flag Day! Always love your photo montages, Linda!
ReplyDeleteThat hammock photo is 10 years old ... I'm SURE the 3 of us won't be fitting on a hammock any time soon! Those were the days.
DeleteWhat a sweet tribute to your parents.
ReplyDeleteLove the summer art prompts. Today, I experienced #3 (thunderstorm) and #10 (iced tea).
I love the way you chose those two prompts, Margie. Each day is filled with blessings ... and sometimes the small ones are best!
