JESUS * The Not-To-Be-Missed Easter Broadcast !!

He is Risen, Friends!

In the last post we talked about the movie The Passion of the Christ ... and why I avoided it like the plague.  Some you agreed, others not so much.  It was, at times, a painful, yet reflective conversation.  Thank you for going there with me.

But today I'm jumping up and down, urging / telling / begging you not to miss the special TBN Easter broadcast of Sight & Sound Theater's JESUS!

Tim and I have seen the live presentation of this masterpiece at the Sight & Sound Theater in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.  That they have chosen to bring this magnificent, family-friendly production right to our home screens is a huge Easter blessing for such a time as this.

We're talking about a 45 member cast.  368 costume designs for 882 costumes and 2400 costume pieces.  7,644 yards of fabric.  288 wigs.  And live horses, dogs, pigs, goats, sheep, camels, alpacas.

Stupendous, really.

I can't wait to see it again.  Grab your buttered popcorn and spread the news!  And after you've viewed the broadcast, be sure to drop back in here so we can chat about what we've experienced together.

Needless to say, I won't be going anywhere.

I can't say this enough ... He is risen indeed!

    1. Yes, wasn't the concert fabulous?! Best Friday night ever. I can't begin to tell you how refreshed and strengthened I was by the hour.

I sang my heart out (much to my husband's amusement / horror / joy!)

    1. I hope it will be a precious time for you and Danny even though the family can't be there.

Let's pray that we can see our grandkids soon. Boy, am I missing them ...

    1. Yes, Bev, their work is awesome. Inspiring. Beautifully produced.

The at-home screen doesn't capture the majesty of seeing it in person, but I'm hearing it's been a huge blessing to so many this weekend.

For such a time as this ...

Easter blessings to you, lovely lady!

  8. Linda, I'm so glad you alerted us to this special presentation. I watched it with my family on Saturday night and it was just as wonderful as you made it out to be. (Even the skeptical teenagers enjoyed it.) If you have further discussion about it, count me in!

  9. A bit late but...

So many tried to catch His smile,
in ways both pious and bizarre,
but did they know that all the while,
they were putting lightning in a jar?
His love defies the maudlin tale,
    His firmness doth out-Rambo Sly,
His might is like a killer whale
a-soaring through the clear blue sky.
Well, that last one was a bit
more than I could swallow, ever,
    although it might really fit
    with Jonah's trip to Nineveh.
Just pick your medium and your art,
and watch Him with an open heart.
