Jesus Today: Devotions for Kids . . . the Giveaway!

For years, Sarah Young has spoken deeply into my life through her powerful devotional books.  Written as though Jesus is tenderly speaking directly to you, the reader, the daily readings have been rich spiritual nourishment in my personal walk with Christ.

I have shared the Jesus Calling passage of the day with clients at the conclusion of countless counseling sessions.  More often than not, the simple words of loving asssurance have gone straight to the heart of the heavy-duty conversation we were just wrapping up.  A common response?  An awe-filled, 'wow ... that was written just for me.'

The brand new Jesus Today: Devotions for Kidswritten for 6 - 10 year olds, makes my day.  I'm pretty sure that there's no gift that beats giving a child a Bible ... or a really good devotional book that's beautiful and fun to read and has the Scripture printed out right in front of tender hearts who are open to the Savior's calling in their lives.

Each reading assures them that Jesus knows everything about them and loves them more than they can imagine.  This is a book to grab hold of for the kiddos in your life, to keep in your home, to give for any occasion, to donate to your church library.

And celebrating sacred yet relaxed moments where you read God's Word with your kids at the end of family dinner time or as part of a quieting bedtime routine?  Superb.  This book will help take you there.  It's just that excellent.

To enter the giveaway, simply leave a comment on this post before Saturday, February 6th at 9 am {eastern, US and Canada only}.  If you are reading this on email, simply click here and scroll down to leave your comment!

And be sure to come back after 9 am on Saturday to see if you've won, ok?!

I'm so delighted to share this 368 page hardcover book with you ... and your precious little ones!

  1. I wish we'd had this when we read devotionals and Bible stories to our kids way back when! We must have gone through 8-10 different Bible story books before we transitioned to the real Bible with our kids!

    1. Oh Trudy, that all little ones would embrace the deep, deep love of Jesus at an early age ...

  6. I love a good devotional for kids. You'd be surprised how hard it is to find one. I've been known to skip pages, because the wording wasn't appropriate or hard to understand. I think that's what I like the most about Sarah Young's devos. She writes plainly, so young and old are sure to understand.

    1. I was touched by the richness yet the simplicity of her words in this book, Alecia. I feel like it's a good pick for all elementary school age kids ... and maybe even tweens {10-12!}

  7. More than ever, children need a solid foundation upon which to stand. Words of comfort, reassurances, and a gentle guide toward becoming ... Such a foundation comes from parents, of course, but children benefit so much from hearing a voice which affirms the values their parents teach. I know of no better voice than the words of devotion to God.

    I'd love a devotional for children, as you know, I'm a Nana. It's great to introduce faith-keeping and faith-sharing books. Thank you for the opportunity to get in on the raffle.

  13. Oh, this looks amazing and I need something like this for my stepkids. They attend a Christian school but they see Jesus as homework. The really do not have a relationship with God and I want to help guide them that direction.
